Welcome to GigBoost!
GigBoost is a digital platform designed to simplify the process of connecting live entertainment venues with musicians, bands, performers, and booking representatives.
By downloading, registering for, accessing, or using GigBoost (the “Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
GigBoost is operated by Gigboost LLC (“GigBoost,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account or using the Platform, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have the legal authority to enter into binding agreements.
- All information you provide is accurate and current.
- You agree to comply with these Terms and applicable laws.
If you register on behalf of a venue, band, agency, or other business, you represent that you have authority to act on its behalf.
2. Description of Services
GigBoost provides a digital marketplace connecting entertainment venues with performers and booking representatives.
Platform features may include:
- Venue and artist profiles
- Availability calendars and open performance dates
- Artist discovery by genre, location, and other criteria
- Booking requests and competitive bids
- Direct messaging
- Booking confirmations
- Notifications and scheduling tools
GigBoost acts solely as a technology platform facilitating connections and bookings.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, GigBoost is not a talent agency, employer, artist manager, event promoter, or party to agreements between venues and performers.
GigBoost does not guarantee the availability, performance, conduct, qualifications, or reliability of any user.
3. User Accounts
Users are responsible for maintaining the security and accuracy of their accounts.
Users agree to:
- Provide truthful profile information.
- Keep login credentials confidential.
- Maintain accurate availability and contact information.
- Notify GigBoost of suspected unauthorized account access.
- Use the Platform only for lawful business purposes.
GigBoost reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain fraudulent information, violate these Terms, or compromise the integrity of the Platform.
4. Venue Responsibilities
Venues using GigBoost agree to:
- Accurately represent their establishment and available performance opportunities.
- Clearly communicate performance dates, times, compensation, and expectations.
- Honor confirmed bookings and applicable contractual obligations.
- Provide a reasonably safe and legally compliant performance environment.
- Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and insurance.
- Communicate cancellations or significant changes promptly.
Venues are independently responsible for paying performers according to their agreed booking terms.
GigBoost is not responsible for unpaid artist compensation, venue closures, equipment failures, unsafe conditions, or other venue-related disputes.
5. Artist and Booking Representative Responsibilities
Musicians, bands, performers, and booking representatives agree to:
- Provide accurate promotional materials and performance information.
- Submit legitimate bids and booking proposals.
- Maintain accurate availability.
- Honor accepted booking commitments.
- Communicate scheduling conflicts promptly.
- Meet agreed performance expectations.
- Comply with applicable laws and venue policies.
Booking representatives must have authority to submit proposals and accept bookings on behalf of the performers they represent.
Artists are responsible for their own transportation, equipment, personnel, taxes, insurance, and other performance-related expenses unless otherwise agreed with the venue.
6. Booking Requests, Bids, and Confirmations
GigBoost allows venues to advertise available performance opportunities and allows eligible performers or representatives to submit proposals.
Submitting a bid does not guarantee selection.
A booking is considered confirmed through the Platform when the venue accepts a proposal and the Platform records the confirmation, subject to any additional acceptance requirements disclosed in the booking process.
Users are responsible for reviewing and agreeing to relevant booking details, including:
- Performance date and time
- Compensation
- Performance duration
- Equipment and production requirements
- Cancellation policies
- Additional agreed terms
Unless GigBoost expressly agrees otherwise in writing, booking arrangements are contracts between the participating venue and performer or their authorized representatives.
GigBoost does not guarantee that either party will fulfill its obligations.
7. Cancellations and No-Shows
We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. However, users are expected to treat confirmed bookings as professional commitments.
Users agree to communicate cancellations as soon as reasonably possible.
Cancellation fees, deposits, refunds, and other financial consequences are governed by the terms agreed between the venue and performer.
GigBoost does not automatically impose cancellation penalties unless a separate, clearly disclosed Platform policy or transaction agreement provides otherwise.
GigBoost may investigate repeated cancellations, fraudulent bookings, or no-shows and may restrict or suspend accounts when appropriate.
GigBoost is not responsible for lost revenue, replacement entertainment costs, travel expenses, or other losses arising from canceled performances, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
8. Membership, Subscription Fees, and Billing
For Artists, Bands, and Booking Representatives
GigBoost is free for musicians, bands, and authorized booking representatives. There are no membership or booking fees for artist accounts under the current business model.
GigBoost reserves the right to introduce optional paid services in the future, provided that any such services and associated fees are clearly disclosed and require user authorization before purchase.
For Venues
GigBoost will provide venues with complimentary access for an introductory period of three (3) months.
Following this period, GigBoost intends to introduce a paid venue subscription. Subscription pricing has not yet been established and will be communicated before any charges take effect.
No venue will be automatically charged solely because its complimentary access period has ended.
GigBoost will disclose the applicable subscription price, billing frequency, renewal terms, and cancellation procedures before requesting payment.
Venues must affirmatively authorize a paid subscription before being charged.
Venues choosing not to subscribe may have their access to certain Platform features restricted or discontinued.
Any subscriptions purchased through Apple’s In-App Purchase system will be subject to Apple’s applicable payment and subscription management requirements.
GigBoost reserves the right to modify subscription offerings with appropriate notice and in compliance with applicable law.
9. Artist Tax Documentation and W-9 Requirements
To facilitate professional booking relationships and appropriate tax reporting, GigBoost requires U.S. artists, bands, and other applicable payees to provide a completed and signed IRS Form W-9 before becoming eligible to accept paid bookings through the Platform.
Collection and Authorized Sharing
- W-9 forms will be collected through a secure document submission process.
- W-9 forms will not be publicly visible on artist profiles.
- GigBoost will make W-9 information available only to the venue or authorized paying entity associated with a relevant booking, where reasonably necessary for payment administration or tax compliance.
- Venues must use W-9 information exclusively for legitimate payment, accounting, and tax-reporting purposes.
- Venues may not sell, publish, or otherwise disclose artist tax information except as legally required or appropriately necessary for those purposes.
Artist Responsibilities
Artists and their authorized representatives are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and current tax documentation.
Artists must update their W-9 information when their legal name, taxpayer identification number, business classification, or other relevant information changes.
Venue Responsibilities
Venues receiving W-9 documentation are responsible for safeguarding that information, complying with applicable tax-reporting requirements, and limiting access to authorized personnel.
GigBoost does not prepare, file, or guarantee the accuracy of tax forms or tax returns on behalf of venues or performers unless separately and expressly agreed in writing.
Security and Retention
GigBoost will implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect sensitive tax documentation.
Access to W-9 information will be restricted according to legitimate business needs. Information will be retained only as necessary for the purposes described in GigBoost’s Privacy Policy, applicable legal requirements, and legitimate recordkeeping obligations.
10. Payments Between Venues and Performers
Unless GigBoost expressly introduces and discloses a separate payment-processing service, compensation for live performances is arranged and paid directly between the venue and performer.
GigBoost is not responsible for withholding taxes, issuing Forms 1099, collecting performer compensation, or guaranteeing payment.
Each venue and performer is responsible for complying with applicable federal, state, and local tax obligations.
The collection or sharing of W-9 documentation does not make GigBoost the employer, payment processor, or tax-reporting agent of either party.
11. Confidentiality of Financial and Tax Information
Users agree that tax documentation, banking information, payment records, and other sensitive financial information obtained through GigBoost must be treated as confidential.
Unauthorized access, disclosure, distribution, or misuse of such information is strictly prohibited.
GigBoost may suspend or terminate accounts involved in misuse of confidential information and may take additional action as permitted by law.
Users must promptly notify GigBoost if they become aware of unauthorized access to tax documentation obtained through the Platform.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
GigBoost may collect and process information necessary to provide its services, including account details, business information, location preferences, booking history, messages, and technical information.
Information is handled in accordance with the GigBoost Privacy Policy, available at gigboost.co/privacy.
Users should review the Privacy Policy to understand how information is collected, used, retained, and shared, and how to exercise applicable privacy rights.
13. Third-Party Services
GigBoost may integrate with third-party providers, including payment processors, mapping services, analytics providers, and Apple services.
Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
GigBoost is not responsible for the independent actions, availability, or policies of third-party providers, except as required by law.
14. Disputes Between Users
GigBoost encourages venues and performers to resolve disagreements directly and professionally.
Disputes involving compensation, performance quality, cancellations, contractual obligations, or property damage are primarily the responsibility of the parties involved.
GigBoost may, at its discretion, assist with communication or review reports of misconduct.
However, GigBoost is not obligated to mediate, arbitrate, or resolve disputes between users.
Nothing in these Terms prevents users from exercising legal rights available under applicable law.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GigBoost is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
GigBoost makes no guarantee regarding:
- Continuous or uninterrupted Platform availability
- Successful bookings or business results
- Accuracy of user-provided information
- Quality or reliability of performers or venues
- Payment or performance by another user
- Compatibility with every device or operating system
Nothing in this section excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be waived.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GigBoost and its owners, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Platform.
This includes, where legally permissible, lost profits, lost bookings, reputational harm, business interruption, or losses resulting from disputes between users.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GigBoost’s total liability for claims arising from the Platform will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees paid by the claimant to GigBoost during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or (b) $100.
These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
17. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, users agree to indemnify and hold harmless GigBoost and its representatives from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable legal expenses arising from:
- Their violation of these Terms
- Their unlawful conduct
- Their infringement of third-party rights
- Their negligent or wrongful acts in connection with a booking
- Their breach of agreements with other users
This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from GigBoost’s own unlawful conduct or where prohibited by law.
18. Account Suspension and Termination
Users may request account deletion through available account controls or by contacting GigBoost.
GigBoost may suspend or terminate accounts for fraud, misuse, violations of these Terms, legal requirements, or significant risks to users or the Platform.
Termination does not automatically cancel existing contractual obligations between venues and performers.
Subscription cancellation and refunds remain subject to applicable purchase terms and law.
19. Changes to Services or Terms
GigBoost may modify its features, services, or these Terms from time to time.
When material changes are made, GigBoost will provide reasonable notice through the Platform, email, or another appropriate method.
Where required by law, users will be asked to accept revised Terms.
Continued use following the effective date of properly communicated changes constitutes acceptance where legally permitted.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to applicable consumer protections and mandatory jurisdictional rules, disputes involving GigBoost will be brought before courts of competent jurisdiction located in Virginia.

- GigBoost is responsible for addressing claims relating to the application, including applicable product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection, and intellectual property claims.
- Users must comply with applicable third-party terms and Apple’s usage rules.
- Users represent that they are not located in a country subject to applicable U.S. embargoes and are not on prohibited U.S. government restricted-party lists.
